Digital Information Converters
Convert bits and bytes, keeping decimal SI prefixes (kB, MB, GB) distinct from binary IEC prefixes (KiB, MiB, GiB).
Popular digital information conversions
- Gigabytes to megabytes
- Megabytes to gigabytes
- Terabytes to gigabytes
- Gigabytes to terabytes

- Gibibytes to gigabytes
- Bytes to bits
- Megabytes to kilobytes
Units
- Bit (bit)
- Byte (B)
- Kilobyte (decimal) (kB)
- Megabyte (decimal) (MB)
- Gigabyte (decimal) (GB)
- Terabyte (decimal) (TB)
- Kibibyte (binary) (KiB)

Notes and definitions
- Decimal: 1 kB = 1000 bytes, 1 MB = 1000 kB, 1 GB = 1000 MB. Binary: 1 KiB = 1024 bytes, 1 MiB = 1024 KiB, 1 GiB = 1024 MiB.
- 1 TB = 1000 GB = 10¹² bytes and 1 TiB = 1024 GiB = 2⁴⁰ bytes (1,099,511,627,776 bytes).
- 1 byte = 8 bits. Data rates are not yet included. Quantities cannot be negative.
